The photos this week are castle themed... Don't forget to have a look at the photo on my Dad's page too!
The view out of one of the windows at Castell Coch.
That's all for this week! Please leave a comment if you've got time.

Back from holiday!
Hi! Sorry about the recent lack of activity, I've been away for two weeks! But have got these photos from my travels to show you all....!
First up is this view of Hanbury Hall, a National Trust house in Worcestershire. The people in the photo are renovating the gardens.
I find this photo rather comical! Taken in the West Midlands Safari Park.
This flower was in the grounds of Wightwick Manor, another National Trust house in Wolverhampton.
This photo was taken coming out of the drift mine at Beamish "The Living Museum of The North".
And finally this picture was taken yesterday in Wyndham Arcade, Cardiff.
Please have a look at the new photo on my Dad's page too, and leave a comment!

Landscapes...
This week I've got some landscapes of various places, some of which you may recognise...
This first one was taken the other day at Lavernock Point, by Sully Island, where we went on my sisters birthday!
A view of the Wales Millenium Centre at night.
This is the harbour in Fowey, near St. Austell in Cornwall. It was taken this summer on our family holiday.
A sweeping view of Rhossili Bay in the Gower.
This was taken in Cardiff city centre, overlooking the River Taff.
The answers to last weeks photos were as follows: The first one was some pinholes on a black wall with light shining through...I set a long shutter speed, and simply moved the camera around! Second was a clock face. Third the top of the Eden project in Cornwall. And lastly the bottom of a fir cone.
Please leave a comment and have a look at the photo on my Dad's page too!

Flowers, flowers and more flowers...
Hi everyone! Thanks to all of you who have taken a look at last weeks post and written a comment. It was great to hear your thoughts! This week I've decided to show you all some photos on the theme of flowers...enjoy!
This was an unopened bluebell in my front garden!
These next three pictures were all taken in the Eden Project on my recent holiday to Cornwall. The colours on some of the flowers were very vibrant!
And finally I was photographing daffodils a while back in the local park, when I saw this lone one from a perspective you wouldn't usually...
That's all for this week. Please take the time to leave a comment, or make a suggestion...!

Welcome!
-->
Hi everyone!
Welcome to my blog-Pics by Jas, and thanks for taking a look! I've been interested in photography for a while now and thought that a blog would be a good way to see what people thought, and to motivate me into actually getting out there! So every week I'm hoping to go out and take some new photos, and then post a few for you all to take a look at. I'm not interested in a particular type of photography at the moment, so the photos will be very varied! Any comments or suggestions are welcome.
This was taken a couple of months ago when there was a ferris wheel in Cardiff Bay. I got as close as I could to the wheel so that it appears very tall!

So to start off here are a few photos all taken in the last year...enjoy!
This was taken in Roath Park, where the continuous row of benches immediately caught my eye. I thought it looked more effective with a black and white filter, to emphasise the patterns.
I love photographing flowers, and this hanging basket in Roath Park particularly stood out because of the vibrant colours and large flower in the foreground.
This is a view of Rhossili Bay in the Gower. I liked the atmospheric feel of this one...
And lastly, this photo of a robin in the Forest Farm Nature Reserve, Cardiff. The robin watched for ages as I happily snapped away!
Hopefully I've given you a feel for the different kind of photos I take. Please come and have another look next week when there should be some new ones up. And don't forget to leave a comment!
